Alessandro Cardoni — Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellow

Alessandro Cardoni is a postdoctoral researcher at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, where he obtained his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is currently a visiting postdoc at UC Berkeley supported by a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship under the supervision of Prof. Kenichi Soga. His research is focused on improving the resilience and vulnerability of infrastructure systems at the urban level. This includes evaluating the effects extreme natural hazards have on interdependent infrastructures, and the impact these disruptions have on communities. Other themes of his research are structural health monitoring sensors and data processing techniques applied to existing structures and infrastructures. He serves as Associate Editor of "Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring" and Editorial Board Member of "Resilient Cities and Structures".
